Over the past 3 months KORIL-RDF has rushed to accomplish new challenges. In May, we organized 13 members of
Korean delegation to participate in 2011 BioMed Conference. In June, the Board of Directors meeting was held in Tel
Aviv and we celebrated our 10th anniversary in the Diaspora Museum at Tel Aviv Univ. At the same date, Global Tech
Korea Israel office organized a seminar in Dan Panorama hotel, Tel Aviv. In July, KORIL-RDF Seoul office signed the
cooperation agreement with 3 universities, 3 industrial support organizations and 1 research institutes in Korea and held
the promotion seminars. KORIL-RDF will constantly endeavor to enhance the industrial cooperation between Israel and

The 20th Board of Director's meeting was successfully held in Tel Aviv, Israel in 21st June, 2011. The directors approved 6 proposals (5 full-scale proposals and 1 feasibility study) with an approximate total project funding of about USD 4.2 mil. As of this BOD meeting, the professional evaluators for each proposal are presenting their evaluation opinions directly to the board members. This new system is intended to enhance the quality of information and improve the decision-making process.
KORIL-RDF celebrated its 10th anniversary in the Diaspora Museum,
Tel Aviv on 21st June, 2011. KORIL-RDF was established in May 2001 following the bilateral agreement (the treaty) between the Israeli and Korean Governments. Over 100 guests including KORIL member company representatives, government officials, and friends from both countries gathered to acknowledge the success of the Foundation.
KORIL-RDF has launched a new promotion program called the "C&P(Connect & Promotion) Plan". Its purpose is to broaden the network and promote the KORIL collaboration funding program. Cooperation agreements have been signed with :

A delegation of Korean biotechnology companies including 13 representatives from 8 companies participated in the 10th ILSI-BioMed Conference. The program was co-organized by KORIL-RDF, GT Korea Israel office and the Embassy of Israel, Korea. The visiting companies had a total of 29 B2B meetings during the event. In addition, the Korean delegation had opportunities to learn about the Israeli Bio industry closely while visiting Dexcel Pharma, Macabbi Healthcare Center, BioRap Technologies in Rappaport Institute of Technion Univ.
Global Tech Korea, Israel office organized a seminar in Tel Aviv in 20th June 2011. The title of the seminar was "How to combine Israeli creative technology with Korean commercilazation experience" and around 30 people participated to discuss for better collaboration of two countries. In addition to the seminar, Korean regional biotechnology cluster orgarnization, Gangwon Technopark(www.gwtp.or.kr) and Israeli biotechnology cluster in Negev area, BioNegev(http://bionegev.org) signed a MoU for bilateral cooperation.
Innovative Technology Show 2011
Korean Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) will hold "Innovative Technology Show 2011" in COEX, Seoul from 31st August to 2nd September. Over 100 Korean innovative SMEs will exhibit their products and technologies in the field of ICT, Mechanics, Cleantech, and Biotech. In addition to the exhibition, various events such as forums, B2B meetings, award ceremony, music concert will be held.
The 15th CleanTech Israel Summit & Exhibition was held on 5 & 6 July 2011 in Tel Aviv. The exhibition features Renewable Energy and Water Technologies, Recycling and Environmental Quality, Infrastructure and Green Building.
This year's focus was on four main issues:
- Israel's transition to energy independence based on renewable energy development;
- Dealing with the global water problem due to population growth and pollution of groundwater reservoirs;
- Solutions and innovations in the field of energy conservation and greater energy efficiency in order to encourage
green building, use of "grey" water etc;
- Display of innovations in recycling water (in the context of groundwater pollution), paper products, glass, plastic and
nylon in Israel and throughout the world.
